On September 27, 2005 at around 8:02 AM Utica Police were sent to 114 Gold St regarding a death investigation.  Upon arrival police realized that this was a homicide.  The deceased was identified as John Alford, a 22 year old Utica resident.  Alford was survived by several sisters and a pregnant girlfriend.  It was determined that Alford’s cause of death was blunt force trauma.
