The US Bureau of Justice Assistance has a awarded a $48,129 federal Grant to be used by the City of Utica Police Department and the Oneida County Probation Department. Proposed use of the funds is to  pay overtime expenses for a successful Intensive Supervision program for offenders sentenced to electronic monitoring and to purchase non-lethal stun devices for the department.
